Deine Aufgaben

Bei Vamo ist es unsere Mission, die neue Ära des Heizens nach Hause zu bringen. Dazu vernetzen wir deutschlandweit moderne, effiziente umweltfreundliche Wärmepumpen mit unserer HeatFleet und der Vamo App für Endkunden. HeatFleet und App werden von einem interdisziplinären Teams von Entwicklern, Produktmanagern & Designern gebaut. Als Full-Stack Developer bist du das technische Herzstück dieses Teams mit folgenden Aufgaben:

Entwicklung & Implementierung: Neue Features für unsere Steuerungsplattform konzipieren, entwickeln und implementieren – vom Backend mit Node.js bis zum Frontend mit Vue.js
API-Design: Robuste, skalierbare und saubere APIs gestalten, die als Rückgrat für die Kommunikation mit tausenden von Wärmepumpen dienen
Code-Qualität & Testing: Eine hohe Code-Qualität durch das Schreiben von sauberem, wartbarem und ausführlich getestetem Code (Unit- & Integrationstests) sicherstellen
Infrastruktur & Deployment: Unsere CI/CD-Pipeline und Infrastruktur aktiv mitgestalten und optimieren, unter Verwendung von Docker, Heroku und MongoDB
Team-Kollaboration: Eng mit Produktmanagern, Designern und anderen Entwicklern zusammenarbeiten, um technische Anforderungen zu definieren und in herausragende Lösungen umzusetzen
Technologische Weiterentwicklung: Proaktiv neue Ideen, Architekturen und Technologien einbringen, um unsere Plattform kontinuierlich zu verbessern und zukunftssicher zu machen

Dein Profil

Erfahrung:
Du hast mehrjährige, praktische Erfahrung in der Full-Stack-Entwicklung, idealerweise in einem agilen Startup- oder Produktumfeld.
Tech-Stack:

Fundierte Kenntnisse in Node.js und TypeScript für die Backend-Entwicklung (wir nutzen Nest.js für unsere Backend Services)
Sicherer Umgang mit Vue.js oder einem anderen modernen JavaScript-Framework (z. B. React, Angular).
Erfahrung mit NoSQL-Datenbanken, insbesondere MongoDB
Praktische Erfahrung mit Containerisierung (Docker) und Deployment-Plattformen (Heroku)

Fähigkeiten:

Ein gutes Verständnis für moderne Softwarearchitektur, API-Design und Best Practices in der Webentwicklung. Erfahrung bei der Entwicklung von Mobile Apps mit PWA und Capacitor von Vorteil
Eine proaktive, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise und die Fähigkeit, dich schnell in neue Themen einzuarbeiten
Du bist ein Teamplayer mit ausgezeichneten Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
Begeisterung für sauberen Code, Technologie und innovative Produkte im Klimatech-Bereich
Erfahrung im Bereich IoT, Energiemanagement oder der Ansteuerung von Hardware ist ein großes Plus
Sicherer Umgang mit KI-gestützten Entwicklungstools (z.B. GitHub Copilot, Gemini) zur Steigerung der Produktivität und Code-Qualität

Formelles:

Fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift. Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil

Your mission

At Vamo, our mission is to bring the new era of heating into homes. To achieve this, we connect modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly heat pumps across Germany with our HeatFleet and the Vamo App for end customers. HeatFleet and the App are built by an interdisciplinary team of developers, product managers, and designers. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be the technical heart of this team.
Tasks:

Development & Implementation: Conceive, develop, and implement new features for our control platform – from the backend with Node.js to the frontend with Vue.js
API Design: Design robust, scalable, and clean APIs that serve as the backbone for communication with thousands of heat pumps
Code Quality & Testing: Ensure high code quality by writing clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code (unit & integration tests)
Infrastructure & Deployment: Actively shape and optimize our CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure, using Docker, Heroku, and MongoDB
Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define technical requirements and translate them into outstanding solutions
Technological Advancement: Proactively introduce new ideas, architectures, and technologies to continuously improve our platform and make it future-proof

Your profile

Experience:
You have several years of practical experience in full-stack development, ideally in an agile startup or product environment.
Tech Stack:

Profound knowledge in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development (we use Nest.js for our backend services)
Proficient in Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular)
Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB
Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and deployment platforms (Heroku)

Skills:

A solid understanding of modern software architecture, API design, and best practices in web development. Experience in developing mobile apps with PWA and Capacitor is a plus
A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to quickly grasp new topics
You are a team player with excellent communication skills
Enthusiasm for clean code, technology, and innovative products in the ClimateTech sector
Experience in IoT, energy management, or hardware control is a big plus
Proficient in using AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini) to increase productivity and code quality

Formal Requirements:

Fluent in spoken and written English. German language skills are a plus
A valid EU work visa

About us

We are a young heat pump technology company from Cologne. With a great mix of young and old and a modern, open team culture, we make craftsmanship sexy and rely on the best and most ambitious talents! While others continue to ride the dead horses of gas and oil heating, or dream of hydrogen and district heating, we focus 100% on heat pump technology.

Our goal is to make green heating feasible & affordable for everyone. All Vamo heat pumps are digitally networked in real time. This allows us to respond to malfunctions before they occur.
